Not much new to report... I've spent most of the week with a nasty flue-like virus thing thats been going around. I've been sending out resumes but not hearing much back yet. We're still waiting to hear about the results of Liz's most recent interview in Milwaukee.
I'm feeling a bit better today. This afternoon, I made myself get out of the house and take a walk around the neighborhood. It's a nice sunny day in Boston, and my back has been killing me from spending too much time either in bed or on the couch. The walk seems to have loosened up my back a little. I'm sure the fresh air helped too.
While I've been knocked out for the last few days, Liz took good care of me. She got me broth and crackers to keep me nourished and ginger to make tea to calm down my belly. The cats helped out too. I think they're empathic. They seem to know when I need comforting and they took turns curling up with me and keeping me company. They are very affectionate little fuzzballs. Even Uma, who is still in kitten mode and doesn't alway go for the cuddling and lap sitting, has been very attentive and snuggly. We have good cats.
Poor baby, make sure to drink enough water!
Happy belated b-days to you both, and wow, rock on with the Milwaukee move. Thought you'd never be able to leave all the amenities of Boston, but the financial argument makes a lot of sense. Plus, only Milwaukee has the Safe House, for cheesy good times.
Keep a little space open in October or November, as we are glacially still planning our wedding. Things might fall together this week.
luv,
